In Kiev and in the nearest suburbs there are many beautiful places for hiking and weekend trips, at any time of the year. Goloseevsky forest and park, Feofanievsky park and forest, Tserkovshchina, Pushcha-Voditsa (endless forests, with excellent roads and trails), Chapaevka, etc. There will be photo stories at different times of the year, about my favorite places in the Kiev region.

Winter in Kiev in recent years has little snow, although occasional snow collapses occur. With which Kiev utilities cannot cope. As a result, motorists and pedestrians are forced to cope with snowdrifts and snowdrifts on their own. And after a few days, the unremoved snow turns into beautiful, smooth and shiny ice in the courtyards of houses and on sidewalks.
The air temperature in Kiev winter in recent years, from +5 to -5. On rare days the temperature drops below 10 degrees. This year there were many foggy, gloomy, depressive days, with +1, +2 heat. But it's better, like today - a little frost, snow and sunshine.

Winter is gradually losing ground, leaving. Spring is on our way.
Kiev in the off-season: +5 on average, damp, windy, dank. On the outskirts under the feet of mud and melting snow. The center is more or less clean.

Until today, the weather in Kiev was just great. During the day +10 on average, sunny, a little windy. The first greenery appeared - the first, forest yellow flowers. The first crocuses in the flower beds, tulip sprouts, catkins on the trees.
But it's too early to relax, we continue to dress warmly. In such weather it is easy to catch a cold. Which unfortunately happened to me.

More and more flowers appear in the park and in the forest. Birds sing, especially in the morning and evening. We enjoy such beautiful iridescent trills. Nature comes to life, and it's so nice to watch this revival. As always, it seems that this spring - the flowers are the brightest, the birds are the most melodious, the sky is the bluest, and the first leaves are the freshest.
During the day it is still quite cool +8 on average. The wind sometimes blows - penetrating, icy.

Greenery and flowers appear every day more and more. Birds sing spontaneously. The most beautiful, fresh, fragrant, blooming spring has come to our region!

In April, in Kiev, the air temperature can range from -3 at night to +25 during the day. Scarves, hats, gloves and warm socks will come in handy in our area at this time of the year. As well as the ability to transform your outfit into a lighter one for warm weather. The weather can change several times during the day. The sun had just warmed up, and half an hour later a frosty wind and hail came up.

April 12, Holy Great Day - was the warmest day this year: +25 in the sun. I have never seen so many people in the forest. It seems that everyone who did not leave the city for the holidays, all got out into nature. By the way, there are a lot of ticks at this time of the year. That is not a reason to refuse to communicate with nature, but we must take the necessary precautions. Since these small blood-sucking creatures can cause huge problems for both people and pets.
I don't want to end my post on such a bad note.
Therefore, I will tell you about spring phenomena that please the soul - apricots, the first long-awaited tulips and daffodils have blossomed. Poplars, which can be seen from my window, bloom with beautiful reddish catkins, and smell pleasantly of freshness throughout the yard.

In the open windows it smells of blossoming poplar leaves, and flowering fruit and berry trees. The last few days have been warm and clear weather. Great time for walking, hiking, excursions, gatherings, training, and other activities or relaxing in the fresh air

About three weeks ago, with might and main, oaks, cherries and apple trees bloomed:

And now the heat has come to Kiev. More than +30 in the sun, +28 in the shade.
In general, the weather is comfortable, if you do not use public transport. Which in Kiev is very uncomfortable, without air conditioning, and usually crowded. This is a huge problem in our city, only the subway saves the situation.

The air is now so fragrant - it smells of flowering chestnuts, lilies of the valley, peonies, and fresh leaves. Favorite time of the year...
